An August 2025 Attorney General opinion (Fitch) concluded that CBD-converted cannabinoids — delta-8, delta-10, THC-O — are controlled substances and that consumable hemp products lacking FDA approval are presumptively illegal outside the state's medical cannabis dispensaries; seizures are underway. Reform bill HB 1502 died in conference April 3, 2025, and nothing passed in 2026. Mississippi sets no statutory hemp age minimum. A medical cannabis program exists under SB 2095 (2022).
