Full federal ban details →Note: Iowa's Hemp Act (HF 2605, 2024; Iowa Code ch. 204) regulates rather than bans consumable hemp: delta-8 and delta-9 products are legal for adults 21+ within caps of 4 mg total THC per serving and 10 mg per container, and low-dose edibles and THC beverages are sold at general retail. Smokable hemp flower and inhalable/vape products remain prohibited under Iowa Code §204.14A. (An earlier draft of this entry cited a dead 2018 bill rather than the operative Hemp Act.) Iowa also has a limited medical cannabidiol program.
